The yard around the pool, without the upkeep
Grass and pools don’t mix well. Clippings blow into the water, sprinklers soak the deck, and the strip along the screen enclosure turns to mud. Turf stays green without mowing, and on the right base the water drains through it instead of sitting on top.
We build pool-side turf on a graded, compacted base and cut it in clean around the coping, the pavers, the screen enclosure and the pool equipment. On a recent job in Trinity we laid 900 sq ft of landscape turf with T°Cool and Envirofill infill beside the screened lanai, next to a three-hole putting green.

Common questions
Does turf get hot next to the pool?
In full Florida sun, any turf gets warm, and the infill makes a difference. On our Trinity job we used T°Cool, a hydro-evaporative cooling sand, as the infill for 900 sq ft of landscape turf.
Will it drain after a storm?
Yes. We build it on a graded, compacted base so water moves through the turf instead of sitting on top, and we add French or channel drains where a yard holds water.
Can you work around a screen enclosure and pool equipment?
Yes. Cutting turf in around enclosures, pavers and equipment pads is a normal part of pool-side jobs.
Can you add pavers or a putting green at the same time?
Yes. Pavers, lighting and putting greens are built by the same crew.
